1) Decorate and Dress Up!

If you and your friends support a common team, decorate your home according to that team’s color scheme. For example, if you’re bet is on Arizona State, go red and blue for the occasion! Or if you guests support an opposite team, decorate your house according to whom you favor to rub it in a little. Have napkins and paper plates for your guests according to the colors you decide on. Another great idea is to go orange and black—the standard basketball colors (no, not for the MLB Champions, the San Francisco Giants, I know what you’re thinking!). Have mini hoops with some foam basketballs around and your friends will be sure to entertain themselves! Also, have your guests dress up in jerseys or college gear of their favorite team. And you, as the host, can dress up as a referee, with a whistle around your neck, just for kicks. “PARTY FOUL! Take a Drink!”

Water expands as it freezes. This expansion puts extreme pressure on whatever is containing it, including metal or plastic pipes. Pipes that freeze most frequently are those that are exposed to severe cold, like outdoor water faucets, swimming pool supply lines, water sprinkler lines, and water supply pipes in unheated interior areas like basements and crawl spaces, attics, garages, or kitchen cabinets. Also, pipes that run against exterior walls that have little or no insulation are also subject to freezing.
